5 Refresh kernel and rootfs

5 Refresh Kernel and Rootfs

There are three methods to refresh kernel and rootfs:

1. Refresh kernel and rootfs by serial port;

2. Refresh kernel and rootfs by Ethernet port;

3. Refresh kernel and rootfs by USB port.

Note: updated kernel and file system by USB, 4000 series, 5020 series screen and the Kinco HMIware

software must be after the November 2009 version.

5.1 Refresh by serial port

ake a serial cable as follow:

2. Set the sw1 to on, sw2 to off on the back of the panel.

3. Open the EVManager tool to select “system operate”---“communication set”, set the serial num. before

refresh kernel and rootfs.
